Football Made Easy: 3 NFL Picks For Rugby Heads

Please Share.

PITTSBURGH, PAOkay, Rugby Heads… I know it’s tough to talk anything but rugby with all the action going on yesterday. Personally, I thought Team USA would beat Tonga – but that’s why I don’t pick rugby! The good news is that my NFL Picks are now back on track after last week’s 2-1 showing. That puts my record for the season at 15-16 and almost over .500. I’m still looking for my perfect 3-0 weekend, and maybe this is the one.

Indianapolis Colts (6-3) at New England Patriots (6-3): This is a battle of The Old (Tom Brady) versus The New (Andrew Luck). Luckily for the Luck and the Colts the Patriots pass defense is not very good. They can be beat by the long ball and underneath. But in the end, I don’t think Luck has the experience to outlast Tom Brady and the Patriots.
My Prediction: 31-20 Patriots

Woof.

Baltimore Ravens (7-2) at Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3): The Ravens are lucky to be playing the Steelers this week and not later on in the season. That’s because this week Pittsburgh is without gun-slinging quarterback Ben Roethlisberger who is out with multiple injuries. The Ravens shouldn’t have too tough of a time taking this one.
My Prediction: 24-20 Ravens

Chicago Bears (7-2) at San Francisco 49ers (6-2-1): Yup. That’s right. The 49ers have a tie in their record. Last week the 49ers’ tied a much weaker opponent, St. Louis Rams. After starting quarterback Alex Smithwent down, the 49ers offense wasn’t able to do much…

Now we’re left to wonder what will happen if Smith can’t play this weekend. He is listed as questionable. Yet, even though the Bears are without their starting quarterback Jay Cutler, who also had a concussion, the pick here is still Da Bears in this one.
My Prediction: 17-14 Bears
