NFL Predictions For Rugby Fans

BOSTON, MA – I promise you… I am actually good at predicting games. I don’t understand what has happened to me and my NFL Predictions For Rugby Fans lately, but my predicting ways will change this weekend. My record is currently 4-11 with a lot of making up to do…

Will Andre The Giant help out his quarterback this weekend?

St. Louis Rams (2-3) at Houston Texans (2-3): These are two teams that have not gotten off to the start they’ve wanted to through the first five games in the seasons; especially the Texans. The Texans have a been one of the biggest disappointments behind the New York Giants this season. After getting off to a hot 2-0 start this team has lost three straight and are on the brink of mutiny thanks to the poor play of quarterback Matt Schaub.

That being said… I do like the Texans in this game over the Rams. The Texans are better than St. Louis in almost every aspect of the game. I love the Houston defense thanks to the play-makers like running back Arian Foster and wide receiver Andre Johnson. If Schaub doesn’t turn the ball over this team can hang with anyone and they’ll show that Sunday. Texans: 31-20

New Orleans Saints (5-0) at New England Patriots (4-1): We have the match-up of the week right here! Two elite quarterbacks squaring off in what some think is a Super Bowl preview (not me.) It’ll be interesting to see if the Tom Brady led offense can rebound after not scoring a touchdown last week against the Cincinnati Bengals.

I will use this photograph any chance I can.

However, I’m taking New Orleans in this one. With the Saints offense at full strength and the Patriots not, you gotta take the healthy and high powered team. The New England defense should keep this game close in the first half, but don’t be surprised if Drew Brees and Company pull away in the third quarter. Saints: 42-28

Washington Redskins (1-3) at Dallas Cowboys (2-3): Believe it or not, but depending on what the Philadelphia Eagles are able to do against the Tampa Buccaneers Sunday, the winner of this game will come out as the NFC East division leader. Yeah, I know. The NFC East is pretty poor this season wish has come to a surprise for many. I don’t think anyone predicted the Giants to have a worse record than the Oakland Raiders, but they do.

I have been going back and forth with this game. My heart tells me to pick Tony Romo and his Cowboys at home, but I just can’t. Look, RG3 is going to come around eventually and I’m thinking the bye week did a lot of good for the Redskins. Look for Robert Griffin III to have his coming out party this weekend. Redskins: 31-28
