Official Rugby Canada Statement re Poor Americas Rugby Championship Showing

LANGFORD, BC – After a very disappointing Americas Rugby Championship performance, Rugby Canada reflected that sentiment on social media. A stunning loss to Chile was a lot for Canadian fans to accept and questions were being asked. To their credit, team management didn’t run for shelter. Instead, GM Jim Dixon went public on Twitter and Facebook.  Here’ is the Twitter post, followed by the enlarged jpg version of his Official Rugby Canada Statement:

    So I read the statement and was like whoa! I also read somewhere else that Rugby Canada is focused on 7s. I read the strategic plan a little bit last night and yeah, they pretty much have sidelined development of Canada XVs until 2019…which is after WC qualifying.
