Penn Mutual Press Release
PHILADELPHIA, PA – As part of our continued support of collegiate rugby, Penn Mutual has announced a significant expansion to the Life of Significance Award.

In 2020, all 10,000 men and women’s rugby players who participate in the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) are eligible for the award. From among the finalists, Penn Mutual will present the award to the rugby student-athlete who exemplifies the shared values of integrity, respect, loyalty and community.

“Over the past five years we have seen so many rugby players give back to their communities in extraordinary ways,” said Penn Mutual Chairman and CEO Eileen McDonnell. “By expanding this award we hope to provide the opportunity to recognize more individuals who are committed to providing a better future for all.”

Entering its sixth year, the award has the potential to impact almost 400 programs across the country that compete in NSCRO.

“NSCRO and its members share the same values that we do as an organization,” said McDonnell.  “We are thrilled to continue the Life of Significance Award and present it to one of the organization’s many deserving members.”

About the Award

  • $5,000 donation to the charity of their choice
