Nevin Spence

HILLSBOROUGH, NORTHERN IRELAND – The Rugby Community, particularly those in Ulster County, were rocked this weekend by the sudden and tragic death of Nevin Spence, aged 22. Nevin was beginning to make a name for himself in Ulster, and Ireland colors were beckoning. Our hearts go out to the Spence family, as it appears it was a tragic slurry tank accident that took young Nevin’s life, along with his brother and father, whom he was attempting to save. His sister had to be hospitalized after also attempting to help. It’s one of life’s inexplicable events and our thoughts and prayers are with the tightly-knit Ulster community, as well. Nevin left us far to soon…

Let’s remember Nevin smiling on the pitch. If you’re lucky enough to still be playing this great game, go out and win one for Spence and his family.

Cuimhnímid orthu. Ag éirí na gréine agus ag a dul síos, cuimhnigh dúinn iad
