RWU NFL HQ – Week 1 did not go quite like I planned last week. Especially for my Buffalo Bills. Hopefully my NFL Picks will be better this week.

My Record: 1-2

  1. Baltimore Raves (1-0) at Philadelphia Eagles (1-0): The Eagles barely made it out of Cleveland alive last week while the Ravens play sensationally at home against the Cincinnati Bengals. This week the Eagles may not be so lucky. Eagles quarterback Michael Vick did not play like the Vick we all know, he tried to do too much. The Eagles have a lot of weapons and Vick must take advantage of all of them if the Eagles want to beat tough opponents in the NFL. This is a preview of my Super Bowl prediction and a statement game for Philadelphia. Its going to be a close one, that anyone can win. Final Score: 31-24 Eagles

Detroit Lions WR Calvin “Megatron” Johnson
  2. Detroit Lions (1-0) at San Francisco 49ers (1-0):  A lot of people view the 49ers as a the top team in the NFC, especially after beating the Green Bay Packers last week on the road. I’m not sold quite yet. I need to see more out of former number one overall draft pick Alex Smith, before I can declare this team Super Bowl ready. It’ll be an interesting match-up for the Lions offense. I want to see how Lions wide out Calvin Johnson does against the tough 49ers D. Final Score: 28-27 Lions
  3. Denver Broncos (1-0) at Atlanta Falcons (1-0): This is the premier match-up of Week 2. Peyton Manning showed signs of the old Manning, especially when he worked out of the no-huddle. Pittsburgh is a great team, but Denver is facing a whole new animal playing at the Georgia Dome on Monday night. The Falcons are the new “Greatest Show on Turf” led by Matty Ice at the helm and the best 1-2 punch on the outside with Roddy White and Julio Jones. Expect this to be a shootout and look for Atlanta to come away on top. If it’s not the Eagles representing the NFC it will be Atlanta. Gotta love the Dirtybirds! Final Score: 41-31 Falcons
