EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND – If you’re scratching your head like we are, wondering how the Brian Boru the Thistles beat the Irish…
Let’s consider the following:
-Beleaguered coach Declan Kidney gambled at the #10 position, starting 18-yearold Paddy Jackson. “The Gamble” backfired… or at least cost the team critical penalty kicks.
–Brian O’Driscoll is still no longer the captain… We’re not in the clubhouse and don’t know if BOD ran over Coach Kidney’s dog, but this just seems silly.
–Ronan O’Gara was relegated to 20 minutes of hurry-up-and win playing time… Not fair to him or the team.
-Man of the Match Jim Hamilton is one Son Of A.. Soldier. Plus, he’s 6’8″ – so we’re not going to question why an Englishman was the Scots’ best player against the Irish at Murrayfield. No way.
