NEW YORK, NY – With professional rugby now being planted in hopefully-fertile American soil, dignitaries and rugby stars alike are making themselves available in an effort to help grow the game. In recent weeks, we’ve had the fortune of speaking on-camera with the likes of London Irish star-turned-CEO Bob Casey, PRO Rugby Director of Rugby, Steve Lewis and legendary Namibia and Saracens star/warrior Jacques Burger. And there were others, including today’s accommodating and classy gent, Chris Wyles, the recently retired USA Captain and current Saracens star, who now has Olympic Gold in his sights.
Mr. Wyles was gracious enough to speak to our Matt McCarthy about his time with USA Rugby, the lure of the Rio Olympics and life after rugby – which includes his Wild Man Craft Beer company.
