If the fourth-place Central Florida Warriors wins the game, their team would secure its first win of 2016. In addition to the win, the Warriors would bring the SC USARL Championship to Spec Martin Municipal Stadium home to DeLand, FL.

As a result, the victor from this game will meet Saturday’s winner from the Tampa Mayhem vs. Atlanta Rhinos contest in the SC USARL Championship. Unless there are weather delays, the Mayhem vs. Rhinos contest should wrap up prior to the start of Saturday’s second game.

Axemen Head Coach talks with RWU about his club’s game

On Thursday, Jacksonville Axemen Head Coach Ben Nicoll took time to talk with Rugby Wrap Up (RWU) about the game Saturday against Central Florida. From his words, one can tell Nicoll refuses to take anything for granted this weekend.

Nicoll: “On Saturday, we [Jacksonville Axemen] expect a big challenge from the Warriors. In this semi-final playoff game, anything can happen. Therefore, we are looking forward to playing this game in front of a big home crowd. Hopefully, we can put on a good show for them. As for Central Florida, they are still a physical side. In order to win, we will have to switch on all of our gears for the full 80 minutes.”
