LONDON, ENGLAND – The Autumn Internationals are the perfect opportunity for some of the youngsters and up and coming stars to really showcase their talent and potential ready for the Six Nations next year. The Autumn Internationals consists of a number of countries facing off against each other in a series of friendlies throughout the months of November and early December. Now, the Autumn Internationals are becoming more interactive than ever, as fans can predict who they think will win with the Ladbrokes Autumn Internationals Rugby Score Predictor to help them. Eddie Jones must watch a few of the younger players throughout the Autumn Internationals and there’s a chance that they could prove to be England’s next squad.
Elliot Daly (Wasps)
One of the best things about Elliot Daly that he will be wanting to showcase during the Autumn Internationals this winter, will be his excellent footballing skills. He is an extremely versatile player, and while he tends to play as a classic outside centre, he can also excellently play full back and wing, while being able to kick goals with his left foot from a very long range. Daly could use the Autumn Internationals as his step up with the England squad and will hope to be called next year for the Six Nations. With the matches against South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and Australia to look forward to, Daly will be a great young player within the team.
Tom Wood (Northampton Saints)
While Wood was always present in the England squad under the Stuart Lancaster regime, he had a tough time proving to Eddie Jones that he has what it takes to make the cut. However, his ever growing work rate has managed to won over Jones who has now called Wood into the squad. It is this work rate that the England squad could use to their advantage and is one of the things that the team may have been missing. With an abysmal record against their first match contenders South Africa, Wood is looked at to be a fantastic addition amongst the team, despite only being an injury replacement for Mike Williams of Leicester Tigers.
Alex Lozowski (Saracens)
Just a few hours after being called up for the England squad, as part of the Saracens team, Alex Lozowski had an excellent game against Bristol, with a try, and plenty of charging down in order to ensure that his team secured the win. Lozowski is a key player in the Saracen’s club and while this is his first England call up, Lozowski has been proving to Eddie Jones that he is more than ready to take on the responsibility of paling for England in the Autumn International friendlies this November. With plenty of skill and determination at his side, Lozowski is a great addition to the injury-ridden senior England squad.
The England squad have been suffering with injuries, leading to many replacements for the likes of James Haskell, Anthony Watson, Jack Clifford, Mike Williams and more. However, some of their replacements are likely to ones to watch, and with some of the youngsters making their senior England squad debut, we are likely to see a great show come from the team.
And while we’re talking Autumn Internationals, this is a must-see:
