NEW YORK, NY – When a colleague like Alex Corbisiero comes in, it makes for a fun day at the office. After sitting in on our interview with Grant Cole of @ThisIsTxRugby, calling in from Texas with his uplifting story of the rugby community helping Hurricane Harvey’s victims, Alex stayed for another segment. And it was a good one. The engaging star prop for England Rugby, the British & Irish Lions, Northampton Saints and London Irish, was a great guest. On our Fantasy Sports Network Studio set, he tells our Matt McCarthy (and Intern Steve Molloy) about:
-Growing up in Queens
-Playing for England instead of the USA, Italy and… Ireland!
-Being UNDEFEATED vs the All Blacks
–Toughest Props he went up against
–British & Irish Lions: Enlisting the Western Force to get him in the lineup
-Being a NBC Sports analyst
-His offer to play for the New York Rugby Club
-His future as a player.
-His affection for the New York Mets and New York Jets.

Here’s the segment, which includes the angelic singing of the Fiji side that won the #RugbyTown7s, thanks in part to the support of the Friends Of The British Council:
NOTE: After we taped, Alex found out that the family home in Florida had suffered some major damage from Hurricane Irma. Our thoughts are with him and his family, who are all okay.
