HARRISON, NY – The Major League Rugby season concluded in spectacular fashion, drenched in an avalanche of confetti. Rugby New York and the Seattle Seawolves gave fans a fittingly fantastic Shield Final, with the “home team” holding off the no-quit visitors from the Pacific Northwest.
New York lifted the MLR Shield for the first time in their history, beating the two-time champions 30-15 at sun-splashed and raucous Red Bull Arena, here in Harrison/Newark.
