BOSTON, MA – For all you ruggers, Saturday is Rugby Day… But today is Sunday Funday Football Day! That means it’s time for my NFL Picks!
After a disappointing weekend last week – going 1-2 – I’m looking to improve my 4-6 record with the predictions below.
But first, I want to highlight a former high school rugby player now in the NFL; Baltimore Ravens defensive end Haloti Ngata. Ngata is a four-time All Pro with Ravens and made three Pro Bowls in in seven seasons. In high school, Ngata led the Highland Rugby Club to the National Rugby Championship. That’s pretty good.
Okay, on to my NFL Picks:
New England Patriots (1-2) at Buffalo Bills (2-1): Buffalo is going to have a two-game lead over the Patriots after this weekend. It’s very hard to take one from the Bills at The Ralph and New England learned that the hard way last year. Look for Bills defensive end Mario Williams to give Patriots quarterback Tom Brady nightmares all game. This is a statement game for the Buffalo Bills. My Prediction: 31-17 Bills
New Orleans Saints (0-3) at Green Bay Packers (1-2): Who would of thought that after Week 4 the Saints would be 0-4 or the Packers would be 1-3. Look for the Packers to come out firing and overcome the Fail Mary last Monday night. The New Orleans defense is not very good, so look for green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers to pick them apart. My Prediction: 42-36 Packers
New York Giants (2-10 at Philadelphia Eagles (2-1): I’m hoping Michael Vick and the Eagles can overcome last weeks embarrassment at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals. In order for the Eagles to pull this one out, Vick cannot turn the ball over. I’m looking for Vick to play like he did two seasons ago. My Prediction: 24-20 Eagles
