Womens 6 Nations : The current version of the Women’s 6 Nations will remain unchanged. According to our friends at Scrumqueens.com “the drastic changes, proposed last week, centered around splitting the tournament into a two-tier championship with Ireland, France and England in one tier and Wales, Italy and Scotland on another. Sides would play each other home and away in tier one, while tier two could just play two games a season and alternate home and away games every other year.”

This was a weekend of dominating performances. There were no close matches as the in-form sides imposed their will on the out of form sides. Sale beat up on Gloucester and Harlequins followed suit against Bath. Exeter left no doubt in their defeat of London Irish. Northampton buoyed by their mid week signing of George North, for next season, heaped more misery on a London Welsh side that looks destined for relegation after losing their appeal of being deducted 5 points for playing an unregistered player earlier this season. Saracens showed their might once again against Worcester, and Leicester showed their class against Wasps. Here are the results:

RaboDirect Pro 12: In the Pro 12, there were a few tight contests among a glut of dominating performances. The Scarlets showed no mercy to a woeful Glasgow side, just as Ulster put the Dragons to the sword. Edinburgh and Connacht played a quality match, with Connacht emerging victorious. Cardiff defeated Zebre in a good game and the Ospreys hammered Treviso. In the Ireland old-firm provincial derby Leinster defeated Munster. Paul O’Connell managed to escape being cited for an alleged kick to Dave Kearney’s leg. Here are the results:

Top 14: The Top 14 went through the exact opposite of its English counterpart, with every match being a close one. Castres and Bordeaux fought each other to a stalemate while Montpellier eked out a victory against Toulouse. Stade Francias snuck by a very feisty Agen side as did Bayonne who had their hands full with Grenoble. Perpignan continued their good league form by taking down Biarritz. In a top of the table clash between Toulon and Clermont, the match ended in a draw, which considering the rosters of the two powerhouse clubs seemed fitting. Here are the results:

Super 15: In Super Rugby, The Brumbies returned to their winning ways against the hapless Highlanders, while the Reds put a stop to the Chiefs hot streak. The Blues are proving to be no fluke as they beat the Hurricanes for the second time this season. The Southern Kings notched their second win of the season and are undefeated in two consecutive matches. The Western Force shocked the Crusaders, While the Stormers and Bulls won their South African derbies against the Sharks and Cheetahs, respectively. Here are the results:
