ATLANTA, GA – There is no argument that Major League Rugby needs to grow its following and indoctrinate new fans. The same can be said for USA Rugby. Mike Anderson and the R & S Rugby Foundation, through their work in starting up rugby programs in Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU), in conjunction with various youth programs, can help both entities to that end. In this MLR Weekly, Anderson discusses this largely untapped pool of players and fans, and what it is needed to activate this asset. Mr. Anderson sat for the interview after R & S Rugby combine in Atlanta. Host Matt McCarthy was at that combine, along with veteran #MLR and USA Rugby coach Nate Osborne, former MLR GM and renowned coach Steve Lewis, and Mose Timoteo of the Glendale Raptors.
