“I had my first refereeing sodomy in the (2010) semi-final against Clermont. I’ve just had my second tonight.”
TOULON, FRANCE – For the above comment, and a few others, Toulon President Mourad Boudjellal has been suspended for “130 consecutive days” because his comments had undermined “the image, morality and professional ethics” of rugby, so said the Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR). Ouch, babe! Mon Dieu!
Granted, Monsieur Boudjellal may have gone too far in his equating Christophe Berdos‘ refereeing to “sodomy” but jeepers, his punishment is pretty darned harsh, as it’s mild in comparison to lyrics in almost every rugby song out there:
– Banned from the playing enclosure
– Banned from the area between the ground and the supporters
– Banned from the changing rooms and the passages leading to these areas within the stadium.
Sacre bleu! At the very least, it will be interesting to see how this all pans out.
Now for our “Experts” and their Heineken Cup results…
Obviously, Johnathan Wicklow Barberie knows what he’s talking about!
Speaking of knowing what he’s talking about, tune in tomorrow for Junoir Blaber and a Special Report, tomorrow.
