THE STOOP – We’re getting down to the good stuff in the Heineken Cup and this weekend has teams and fans watching the scores and differentials, wondering who is getting what share of points. Our Expert Panel is no different, they’re from different backgrounds and have conflicting loyalties – not to mention enormous egos. – so much nail-biting and consternation went into their Heineken Cup Picks.
Things to watch for:
-Can Sale avoid the embarrassment of not winning?
-Will Zebre get it’s first shock win over lazy Biarritz?
-Can Connacht win at The Stoop?
-Could Castres win a road game in Northampton?
-Will Munster get a much-needed bonus point vs the Scots in Edinburgh?
We’re dying for the answers!
Okay… Now on to our Expert Panel and the results of their Heineken Cup Picks!
Just to review, the Panel is comprised of West Ghana’s Rugby Rain Man Junoir Blaber, Ireland’s quick-witted fly-half (that’s redundant) Kevin Fegan, the infamous Ireland National, Declan Yeats, feisty French #8 Pyk O’Kallapfer and contrived Kiwi Johnathan Wicklow Barberie. They all must pick the winners of each match and a Pick Of The Week, for which they must also provide the margin of victory.
Here are the picks:
P.s… As usual, Declan called in while standing in manure…
Okay… There you have it. Clearly Junoir Blaber is doing something right but for the big bucks, one can’t ignore Kevin Fegan’s unblemished record with the Pick of the Week!
P.s… JWB likes to “brush up” before making his choices by seeing what TheRugbyBlog.com has to say.
