BOSTON, MA – I may have lost my touch… for the moment at least. After back-to-back weekends of 0-3 performances my overall record is now 4-8, which is not very good. It’s time to circle the wagons, wheel the scrum and turn this thing around  with 3 NFL Predictions For Rugby Fans!

New Orleans Saints (4-0) at Chicago Bears (3-1): This has the potential to be a very good match-up. Two of the top teams in the conference face-off at the great Soldier Field! What’s not to like? This game includes the great Drew Brees, a revamped Chicago defense, and one of the best quarterback-receiver connections in the league with Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall… I’ve been going back and forth with this game for some time. I love Drew Brees and that Saints offense, but my doubts lay with the New Orleans D. That’s why I’m going with Chicago. The Bears really have something going with their first year Head Coach Marc Trestmannfl-cheerleaders. Oh, and the Bears have a great running back by the Matt Forte, too. Bears: 31-27

Houston Texans (2-2) at San Francisco 49ers (2-2): The Texans are in dire straights right now and could really use a win. In order to do that however, Houston must  go out west and take it to last year’s NFC Champions. That’s a tough task for quarterback Matt Schaub & Co. However, I’m not quite sure how good this 49ers team actually is this season. QB Colin Kaepernick hasn’t looked his sharpest at times and the 49ers vaunted defense doesn’t look like a brick wall anymore. SO… I’m putting my money on the desperate Texans because defenders J.J. Watt and Ed Reed won’t let this team lose this game and I’m crediting Houston with both a better offense and defense. Right now might be the best time to play the 49ers. Texans: 24-17

Matty Ice needs to show the Jets what he's made of early on Monday night.

New York Jets (2-2) at Atlanta Falcons (1-3): On paper the Jets look like a better team than the Falcons as they do not have a losing record. Lucky for us, they actually play the game in the NFL. Look for a blowout on Monday Night Football. Falcons’ wide receiver Roddy White is finally starting to get healthy, which is a very good sign… unless you’re a Jets fan. Plus, Atlanta has quarterback Matt Ryan, who is leaps and bounds better than the opponent’s Geno Smith. The Dirty Birds will show the Jets just how much better Matty Ice is. This game won’t even be close. Falcons: 42-19
