GLENDALE, CO – The inaugural United States qualifier for the global Red Bull Uni 7’s tournament was held at Infinity Park (aka RugbyTown USA) on Thursday. The tournament played host eight of the best collegiate Rugby 7’s teams in the country, culminating in a thrilling victory for Lindenwood Rugby, beating their rivals Arizona State University. Revenge was sweet for Lindenwood after ASU upset them in the Collegiate Rugby Championship 7’s back in June.

Lindenwood will now head across the pond to compete in the tournament’s finals. The international competition will see 11 of the best universities from across the world compete in the global finals, which will take place in the city of Bath, England on September 17, 2016. That shoot-out will see the 10 qualified universities – plus reigning champions and hosts Bath University – battle through group stages, with the top two teams going on to play in the final in front of a capacity 14,000 crowd as a warm-up to a Bath Rugby Aviva Premiership clash.

The participating teams for the Infinity Park tournament are below:

Arizona State University

Clemson University
University of Denver
Lindenwood University
